About the Role:
Are you a technically strong Senior Fire Protection Engineer with the ambition to grow something of your own? This is a unique opportunity to lead, build, and grow a new regional business unit—remotely—from anywhere on the West Coast.

Our client is one of the country’s largest and most respected fire protection engineering consultancies, known for delivering excellence across commercial, healthcare, industrial, mission-critical, and government sectors. With an exciting vision for expansion, they’re looking for a forward-thinking leader to shape their next chapter.

What You’ll Be Doing:
🔥 Lead complex fire protection engineering projects across the West Coast
🔥 Provide technical oversight on designs for fire suppression, fire alarm, mass notification, and smoke control systems
🔥 Conduct code consulting, life safety assessments, and performance-based designs
🔥 Represent the company in client meetings, industry events, and regulatory discussions
🔥 Collaborate with other senior leaders to build and scale a new business unit in the region
🔥 Identify opportunities, develop client relationships, and support business development (existing BD experience is a strong plus)
🔥 Mentor junior staff and contribute to hiring and team growth initiatives

What We’re Looking For:
✅ 5+ years of experience in fire protection engineering and consulting
✅ PE License in Fire Protection Engineering (required)
✅ Deep knowledge of NFPA, IBC/IFC, and other applicable codes and standards
✅ Strong technical leadership and project delivery skills
✅ Entrepreneurial mindset with interest in growing a business unit
✅ Business development experience is a major bonus
✅ Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
✅ Must be based in a West Coast U.S. state
