Senior Technology Associate

We’re hiring on behalf of a growing MEP consultancy looking for a Senior Technology Associate to take a lead role in designing and delivering complex low-voltage infrastructure projects. If you bring deep technical expertise, strong client communication skills, and experience managing multi-discipline projects, this hybrid role offers the opportunity to shape high-impact work in life sciences, healthcare, and high-tech sectors.

What You’ll Do

Technology Design & Engineering

Lead the design of structured cabling, ISP/OSP, voice/data networks, A/V, security, and other low-voltage systems
Coordinate with clients, architects, and engineering teams to align design scope and specifications
Conduct site surveys and assessments for existing systems and conditions
Produce clear, code-compliant design documentation and technical specifications (CSI Div 27)
Evaluate product submittals, respond to RFIs, and support QA/QC during construction
Provide field observations and written recommendations during construction phases
Stay current on industry standards (TIA, NEC, IEEE) and emerging technologies to guide internal teams and inform client decisions

Project & Client Management

Manage project scope, schedule, and budget to deliver high-quality work on time
Liaise between technical teams and client stakeholders to ensure alignment across deliverables
Translate complex technical concepts into business-friendly language
Support documentation and formal sign-off for key project milestones
Identify and resolve design issues and risks early in the project lifecycle
Mentor junior designers and contribute to team knowledge-sharing

Cross-Disciplinary Collaboration

Interface with IT and project management groups to support integration of AV, security, networking, and specialty systems (e.g., medical/lab/manufacturing equipment)
Act as a technical liaison across disciplines to ensure successful system interoperability
Contribute to long-term client relationships by understanding their business, goals, and infrastructure needs

What You’ll Bring

8+ years of experience in low-voltage systems design and consulting
Demonstrated experience in medium to large-scale infrastructure projects
Strong project management skills and ability to lead or support complex programs
Bachelor’s degree in a relevant technical field (or equivalent experience)
RCDD certification (required)
PMP or equivalent credential (preferred)
Familiarity with design tools: Bluebeam, Visio, Microsoft Office Suite
Working knowledge of AutoCAD and/or Revit (preferred)
Clear, confident communication—both written and verbal
Ability to manage competing deadlines and multiple priorities
Willingness to travel domestically up to 50% as needed
