Job Description and Role Overview

We are partnering with a leading clean energy consulting company seeking an experienced and motivated Renewable Energy Consultant to join their Houston-based team. This role plays a crucial part in supporting organisations as they transition to more sustainable energy strategies.

You will work directly with corporate clients to understand their energy needs, identify tailored renewable solutions, and guide procurement decisions that align with both sustainability goals and cost-efficiency. This position is ideal for a commercially-minded professional with deep sector knowledge and a consultative approach to client service.

Key Responsibilities

Engage with corporate clients to understand energy needs and sustainability objectives
Deliver customised renewable energy strategies, including procurement options and cost-reduction plans
Present data-driven proposals with clear ROI, risk analysis, and long-term impact assessments
Cultivate and manage long-term relationships with clients and key decision-makers
Track and interpret energy market trends, policies, and innovations
Collaborate with technical and commercial teams to deliver end-to-end solutions
Achieve business development targets through strategic client acquisition and retention
Maintain accurate records of client activity and progress using CRM tools
Prepare insightful reports, forecasts, and presentations for internal and external stakeholders

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Renewable Energy, Environmental Science, Business, Engineering, or a related field
Minimum 6 years’ experience in energy consulting, sustainability advisory, or business development within the clean energy sector
Strong understanding of energy procurement, sustainability frameworks, and regulatory landscapes
Proven success in managing client relationships and driving revenue
Confident communicator with excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills
Skilled in project management and time prioritisation across multiple clients
Proficient in digital tools, including CRM systems and Microsoft Office/Google Workspace
Self-starter with a consultative mindset and strong commercial acumen
