ABOUT THE POSITION
GTN Technical Staffing is seeking a Civil Engineer for a Direct-Hire role in Bay City, TX. The Civil Engineer will join a design engineering firm to build project designs for residential and commercial buildings. The Civil Engineer will attend site consultations to assess the structure condition and provide possible solutions. The ideal candidate will have experience performing assessments and calculations for buildings in windstorm & flood zones. You will work closely with project teams to perform engineering calculations and provide engineering designs for structural plans utilizing tools such as Enercalc, STAAD.pro, RAM Connection, RAM structural system, and AutoCAD.

In summary, you will work with a team of designers and Engineers-in-Training on engineering calculations, field inspections, reviewing and redlining civil designs, and producing civil designs using AutoCAD. Designs include surveys, roadways, hydraulics and hydrology, utility, water, and wastewater. In this role, you will collaborate with clients and other professionals to develop civil designs for public works projects.

REQUIREMENTS
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET-accredited institution.
Experience: A minimum of 1 year of experience in civil engineering, ideally with a focus on structural design of residential or commercial buildings.
Technical Skills: Strong proficiency in Enercalc, STAAD.pro, RAM Connection, RAM structural system, and AutoCAD or similar.
