Job Overview:
Our client, a prestigious luxury catering company in Saudi Arabia, is looking for an expert Chef de Cuisine – Mediterranean Specialty to lead and execute authentic, high-end Mediterranean cuisine for large-scale VIP events and bespoke catering experiences. The ideal candidate will bring a deep knowledge of Mediterranean flavours, regional techniques, and premium ingredient sourcing, while managing a dedicated culinary team to deliver refined, flavour-driven dishes with precision and consistency.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead the Mediterranean kitchen section, overseeing the preparation, execution, and presentation of high-quality dishes across various events
Design and implement menus rooted in authentic Mediterranean cuisine, spanning Southern European, Levantine, and North African influences
Ensure excellence in taste, presentation, and portion control across all Mediterranean dishes
Train and mentor junior chefs, fostering discipline, consistency, and skill development within the team
Work closely with the Executive Sous Chef and Executive Chef to align culinary direction with overall event concepts and client expectations
Uphold strict kitchen hygiene, sanitation, and food safety protocols in line with HACCP standards
Monitor ingredient quality, control food costs, and manage inventory for the Mediterranean kitchen section
Innovate and update menu offerings regularly, balancing authenticity with evolving guest preferences and luxury trends

Qualifications and Requirements:

Prven culinary experience with a strong focus on Mediterranean cuisine, including in a leadership role
Proven expertise in executing Mediterranean menus in high-end catering, luxury hospitality, or fine dining settings
In-depth knowledge of traditional techniques, flavour profiles, and plating styles specific to the Mediterranean region
Strong kitchen leadership, time management, and communication skills
Culinary degree or equivalent professional training preferred
Experience working with VIP clientele or in Gulf countries is an asset
Proficiency in English; Arabic is a plus
