What You Will Do

As the Human Resources Business Partner, you’ll be a key strategic and operational leader, building the systems and structure that support our growing team. From expanding our terrific culture to navigating complex employee relations to training managers and strengthening compliance, you’ll be the go-to partner for driving people-first solutions. You’ll also help shape a thriving workplace culture through clear internal communication, development of key leaders, and an impactful performance review process. This role reports directly to the COO and will be an integral part of our tight-knit executive team.

Responsibilities:

Partnering with Executive Leadership: Develop and implement HR strategies and initiatives in collaboration with leadership to support business objectives, drive organizational development, and ensure alignment across departments while addressing emerging talent needs.
HR Infrastructure: Manage and update HR policies, procedures, and documentation, ensure effective communication of changes, evaluate compensation and rewards programs for competitiveness, and coordinate with PEO and timecard services to enhance operational efficiency and employee satisfaction.
Compliance: Ensure compliance with employment laws and company policies, manage employee relations and conflict resolution, support legal matters, and develop training programs with a focus on compliance for managers.
Culture & Internal Communications: Drive a positive, inclusive workplace culture by promoting benefits and total rewards through strategic communication, designing value-aligned engagement programs, partnering across teams to enhance cultural consistency, and developing retention and career development initiatives.
Empowering Leaders and Capability Building: Lead impactful leadership development by designing innovative training and coaching programs that empower managers at all levels to grow talent, foster engagement, and build agile, high-performing teams for future success.
Performance Review Process: Redesign and manage performance review processes to foster continuous learning and development, enhance employee growth, and drive productivity, efficiency, and satisfaction in a rapidly growing environment.

Qualifications:

9–12 years of progressive HR experience, including 5+ years in a leadership role
Bachelor's degree in HR, Business, or related field
Master’s degree, SHRM or other respected HR certification
Passion for natural products
Deep knowledge of labor laws, HR practices, and compliance in California; experience in regulated or scientific environments is a plus
Proven ability to conceptualize, build and implement HR strategies aligned with business goals
Strong leadership, critical thinking, and sound decision-making skills
Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
High level of discretion when talking with team members and handling sensitive information
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and details
Learning agility and a proactive approach to problem-solving
Collaborative, team-oriented mindset
Proficiency in HR systems and tools
This role is in-person and is based in Garden Grove, CA. Possibility for one day remote per week following a transition period.
