About the Role:
We’re looking for a technically strong and highly motivated Senior Fire Protection Engineer to join a respected and growing fire protection consultancy. Based in Maryland or working remotely from anywhere in the U.S., this role offers the opportunity to lead complex projects, collaborate with clients, and contribute to the future of fire and life safety design.

You’ll work on a wide range of projects—from healthcare and mission-critical facilities to education, commercial, and government—bringing expert-level knowledge and creative solutions to each challenge.

Key Responsibilities:
🔥 Design and review fire protection and life safety systems, including fire alarm, sprinkler, and special hazard systems
📐 Perform code consulting, hazard analyses, and performance-based design
📝 Prepare technical reports, specifications, drawings, and project documentation
📊 Lead project coordination with clients, architects, MEP engineers, and contractors
🤝 Support and guide junior engineers and technical staff
🚀 Manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining high standards of quality and compliance
📈 (Optional) Support business development and proposal efforts, including client relationship management

What We’re Looking For:
✅ Bachelor's degree in Fire Protection, Mechanical, or related engineering discipline
✅ Professional Engineer (PE) license in Fire Protection (preferred or actively pursuing)
✅ 7+ years of fire protection engineering experience in consulting or design
✅ Deep knowledge of NFPA codes, IBC, IFC, and state/local regulations
✅ Proficiency with AutoCAD, Revit, and hydraulic/alarm calculation tools (e.g., HydraCALC, AlarmCAD)
✅ Excellent communication and client-facing skills
✅ Ability to manage time effectively in a remote or hybrid work environment
