ICAP Recruitment Solutions, on behalf of its client, a leading Shipping Company, is seeking an Assistant Accountant to join their team.

Assistant Accountant (5934/AA/ESS/GR)

Location: Athens, Paiania

Responsibilities:

Processes payment entries, invoices and credit notes via Danaos ERP
Handles vendors’ reconciliation and the proper postings
Resolves vendor invoices discrepancies and related inquiries
Performs monthly creditors and banks reconciliations
Process accounts payable adjustments for errors or omissions and communications with the accounting team abroad, banks and vendors
Performs other accounting activities as requested and support the team
Ensure that all transactions are compliant with company's policies and systems

Qualifications:

2-3 years of relevant accounting/accounts payable experience in a shipping company is required
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or Economics (AEI or TEI)
Excellent knowledge of English, both oral and written
Strong working knowledge of accounting ERP, ideally Danaos and Microsoft Office Suite (MS Excel, MS Word, MS PowerPoint)
Agility, organization, and problem-solving skills
Attention to detail, results orientation, proactivity
