Senior Backend Developer

Overview

Our client is a digital content technology company supporting creators, media companies, and brands by powering their growth with scalable, reliable backend systems. This role focuses on building high-performance services and APIs, leveraging Python and modern frameworks. It is a remote position based in Brazil.

Challenges you would face

Design and implement backend services, APIs, and microservices that meet application requirements
Optimize relational and non-relational databases such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, and MongoDB for performance and data integrity
Collaborate with front-end developers to define API specifications and ensure seamless integrations
Ensure back-end system scalability, performance, and reliability
Write clean, maintainable, and reusable code following best practices
Troubleshoot and debug complex server-side issues
Implement security protocols to protect sensitive data
Maintain comprehensive documentation for backend architecture and services

The ideal candidate

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Computer Engineering, or a related field
5 years of experience as a backend developer
Strong proficiency in Python for web development
Experience with Django and REST API design
Familiarity with FastAPI
Solid knowledge of database systems and writing optimized SQL queries
Experience with Git for version control
Strong problem-solving skills
Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure
Knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes, and microservices architecture
Awareness of security and data privacy best practices
Excellent teamwork and communication skills
