What You Will Do

As the Director of Sales Operations, you will play a pivotal role in driving revenue growth and operational excellence across our expanding retail and distribution network. The Director of Sales Operations will oversee all aspects of sales operations infrastructure, managing a team of sales operations professionals while ensuring seamless execution of order fulfillment, inventory management, and customer relationships. The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in CPG sales operations, retail partnerships, and supply chain optimization within the food manufacturing sector. Responsibilities:

Lead and develop a high-performing sales operations team, including direct management of Sales Operations Manager and future team members.
Develop and implement strategic sales operations processes to support revenue growth and market expansion.
Oversee order fulfillment operations across all sales channels, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and customer satisfaction.
Manage relationships with key retail partners, distributors, and 3PL providers to optimize service levels and cost efficiency.
Drive logistics strategy and execution across LTL, FTL, and retailer freight programs, ensuring compliance and cost-effectiveness.
Establish and maintain inventory management processes across multiple sales channels and distribution points.
Partner with Senior Leadership to develop and optimize customer and distributor-level inventory tracking and forecasting systems.
Monitor and optimize key performance metrics including OTIF, fill rates, out-of-stocks, and customer service levels.
Lead resolution of complex order issues, discrepancies, and chargebacks while implementing preventive measures.
Collaborate cross-functionally with Sales, Marketing, Supply Chain, and Finance teams to support new product launches and promotional activities.
Oversee technology infrastructure including EDI systems, SPS Commerce integrations, and OneWorldSync item management.
Drive continuous process improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency and scalability.
Develop and implement SOPs, training programs, and best practices for sales operations functions.
Support monthly S&OP processes with real-time sales data, inventory insights, and demand forecasting.
Lead strategic projects including shipping optimization, compliance tracking systems, and operational dashboard development.
Evaluate and implement new technologies and systems to support business growth and operational excellence.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Operations, or a related field.
10+ years of experience in sales operations, supply chain, or operations management within the CPG industry, preferably with food or confectionery products.
5+ years of leadership experience managing operations teams and driving organizational change.
Proven experience managing relationships with major retail partners (Target, Kroger, etc.) and distributors.
Strong working knowledge of EDI systems, 3PL operations, and retail compliance requirements.
Experience with ERP systems, sales operations software, and data analytics platforms.
Deep understanding of CPG supply chain dynamics, inventory management, and order fulfillment processes.
Proficiency in sales operations software, data analysis tools, and dashboard development.
Willingness to travel as needed to meet with key customers, distributors, and operational partners.
