3D Animator

Overview

Our client is a content-first toy company launched in 2024 with a global team and bold vision. They create imaginative YouTube content to bring brands like Super Dough and DecoDen Designer to life. They are seeking a 3D Animator to bring the character Dodie to life in a live-action + CG YouTube series. The role involves animating stylized cartoon performances and syncing them with live-action reference and voiceover

Challenges you would face

Animate expressive performances, lip sync, and movement using pre-rigged 3D models
Match character animation to live-action pacing, emotion, and dialogue
Collaborate with the Generalist and Compositor to integrate animated elements into filmed scenes
Apply stylized motion, timing, and character-driven nuance suited for young audiences
Maintain asset consistency and version control across scenes and episodes

The ideal candidate

3–5 years of professional experience as a 3D animator in cartoon, educational, or YouTube content
Fluency in Blender or Maya
Experience syncing animation to voiceover or dialogue
Reel showing character-driven, stylized animation—especially interactions with live-action or hybrid settings
Solid grasp of animation fundamentals including timing, arcs, squash and stretch, and weight
