Animation Generalist

Overview

Our client is an international toy company and media studio producing whimsical, educational kids’ content. Their animation blends AI tools with traditional 3D workflows to create imaginative worlds around original characters. They are seeking a skilled Animation Generalist who thrives in stylized 3D environments and can integrate AI-generated visuals using tools like Midjourney and Runway. This role will be responsible for set design, layout, lighting, and compositing

Challenges you would face

Model, texture, light, and render stylized 3D backgrounds and props using Blender or Maya
Generate AI-based visual assets to complement traditional modeling pipelines
Integrate animated characters and assets into real-world green screen scenes
Handle camera match-moving, motion tracking, and scene compositing
Support asset management, lighting consistency, and cinematic storytelling

The ideal candidate

4–6 years experience as a 3D generalist or compositor in content for video or games
Proficiency in Blender or Maya, with strong asset-building and lighting skills
Working knowledge of compositing in After Effects or equivalent
Hands-on experience with AI tools like Midjourney, Suno, ChatGPT, or Runway
Ability to manage files across a collaborative production pipeline

Plus

Prior experience animating for kids’ content or stylized YouTube formats
Familiarity with storytelling, environment design, and camera language
