Overview:
We are seeking a results-driven Fire Protection Operations Manager to oversee the daily operations, personnel management, and financial performance of our fire protection division. This role is responsible for ensuring projects and services are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest standard of code compliance and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead and manage fire protection operations, including inspection, service, installation, and retrofit projects
Supervise field technicians, inspectors, and support staff; responsible for hiring, onboarding, performance evaluations, and development
Manage project schedules, labor deployment, and resource allocation to maximize efficiency and profitability
Maintain and monitor departmental P&L, job costing, and budgeting; provide regular reporting to senior management
Oversee compliance with all applicable codes (NFPA, local AHJ), safety standards (OSHA), and company policies
Coordinate with Sales, Design, Estimating, and other departments to ensure smooth project execution
Serve as the primary client interface for key accounts, resolving escalations and maintaining service quality
Lead continuous improvement initiatives to streamline workflows, improve margins, and strengthen client satisfaction
Ensure documentation, reporting, and system data are maintained accurately in platforms such as ServiceTrade, BuildingReports, or similar software
Participate in strategic planning and growth initiatives within the fire protection department

Requirements:

8–10+ years of experience in the fire protection industry, with at least 3 years in a management or leadership capacity
NICET Level III or IV certification in Water-Based Systems preferred
Strong working knowledge of NFPA codes, fire sprinkler and alarm systems, inspection practices, and construction processes
Demonstrated experience managing teams, budgets, schedules, and customer relationships
Proficiency with service/project management software and Microsoft Office Suite
Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
Valid driver’s license and ability to travel regionally as needed

Preferred Qualifications:

PMP Certification or formal project management training
Experience with multi-site operations or enterprise-level service coordination
Prior experience managing operations within a union or mixed labor environment
