What You Will Do

We are seeking a Business Analyst to join our dynamic and rapidly growing team. Reporting to the CEO, this role will play a critical role in analyzing data in various parts of the business. This role will not only partner with the sales team to create meaningful sales stories, but they will also work closely to analyze and identify trends, business performance, and areas of opportunity at Amara. The Business Analyst will develop actionable insights that will contribute to Amara’s growth strategy.

Responsibilities:

Leverage syndicated data (i.e. Circana, SPINS, Nielsen) to analyze data and create compelling sales stories for all channels, including conventional, natural, mass, club and DTC.
Analyze data to identify trends in market share, distribution, and competitive positioning across market segments for each Amara product line.
Prepare, analyze, and present data-driven insights and recommendations to support sales strategies, customer presentations, and review cycles, including the creation of visual data stories.
Evaluate sales effectiveness, promotional performance, and customer profitability to guide future strategies.
Monitor and report on key metrics, identifying trends, risks, and anomalies to inform leadership decisions.
Provide variance analyses and financial comparisons to actuals.
Work closely with CEO to deliver ad-hoc analyses, reports, and presentations.
Work closely with CEO to support current club business, analytics and execution
Develop and maintain performance dashboards with various sales channels to measure company and departmental success.

Qualifications:

Previous experience in brand finance, category analysis + insights,
3-4 years of experience in a high-growth food company.
College degree or equivalent training.
Advanced skills in Excel and Power BI.
Hands-on experience with syndicated data tools like Circana, Nielsen, Numerator or SPINS (Circana preferred).
Proven ability to analyze complex data sets and generate actionable insights.
Strong ability to understand what’s important to key stakeholders, and create simple visual data representations backed by complex data
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
High attention to detail and accuracy.
Desire to learn, roll up sleeves and support CEO with various business analytics and other parts of the business.
