What You'll Do

Assist attorneys in client intake and the preparation of bankruptcy filings, including petitions, schedules, and statements.
Conduct legal research and gather relevant information to support cases.
Organize and manage case files using Document Management Systems.
Prepare legal documents and correspondence as needed.
Maintain accurate records of case progress and deadlines through effective case management skills.
Communicate with clients, creditors, and court personnel regarding case issues.
Support litigation matters by preparing necessary documents and evidence for court proceedings.
Collaborate with team members on project management tasks related to bankruptcy cases.
Assist in billing clients.
Undertake general administrative tasks in the office, as needed

What You Need

Minimum of 4 years of experience in bankruptcy law.
Proven experience as a paralegal in bankruptcy and related fields.
Strong understanding of Chapter 7 and Chapter 11 (including Subchapter V) bankruptcy procedures (federal and local).
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously.
Proficient in using Document Management Systems and other legal software tools.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills for effective client interaction.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Knowledge of litigation processes is beneficial

Salary & Benefits

Location: Hybrid in Los Angeles, CA.
Annual Salary: $50,000.00 - $70,000.00 +, depending on experience and qualifications.
This is a full-time, long-term position.
