Job Description: Senior Risk & Governance Manager / Head of Operations

Job Responsibilities:

Lead and manage the risk and governance framework to ensure compliance with regulatory standards and corporate policies.
Develop and enhance operational strategies to support renewable energy initiatives across Japan.
Oversee risk assessment processes, identifying potential risks associated with operational projects and developing mitigation strategies.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate risk management into business operations and decision-making.
Facilitate training and awareness programs on risk management and governance best practices.
Prepare comprehensive reports for senior management and stakeholders that articulate the organization’s risk profile.
Monitor changes in regulations affecting the renewable energy sector in Japan and adjust policies accordingly.
Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness of the risk governance framework.

Essential Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Risk Management, Renewable Energy, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
Professional certifications in risk management (e.g., CERM, CRISC) will be an asset.
Strong understanding of renewable energy market dynamics and regulatory requirements in Japan.

Desired Experience:

Minimum 7 years of experience in risk management or operational leadership roles, preferably within the renewable energy sector.
Proven track record in developing and implementing risk governance frameworks and strategies.
Experience working in cross-functional teams and collaborating with senior leadership.
Proficient in risk assessment methodologies and tools.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels.
