Become a Trustee with Crisis

Time commitment: Around one day per month

Term: Three years, renewable once

Remuneration: Voluntary (reasonable expenses reimbursed)
Crisis is the national charity for people experiencing homelessness. Every day, we work side by side with people to rebuild lives and campaign for lasting change. We know homelessness is not inevitable and together, we can end it.
We’re now seeking a Trustee to join our Board, someone with deep experience in fundraising, marketing, or brand development who can help ensure Crisis has the sustainable resources, partnerships, and profile to achieve our mission.

What you’ll do
As a Trustee, you’ll join a passionate, committed and skilled Board of 12, helping to ensure Crisis is well governed, financially sound and delivering real impact. You will:

Shape our future direction by contributing to strategic priorities and success measures.
Strengthen financial sustainability and public engagement through your fundraising and brand expertise.
Support strong governance, compliance, and accountability.
Serve on the Finance, Risk and Assurance Committee, offering oversight, challenge, and strategic insight.

Who you are
You’ll bring:

Significant experience developing and delivering successful fundraising or income-generation strategies.
Strong understanding of fundraising regulation, innovation, and emerging trends.
Expertise in building philanthropic or corporate partnerships and supporting Campaign Boards.
Insight into brand development and public engagement.
Excellent communication, collaboration, and influencing skills.
A genuine commitment to Crisis’ mission, values, and good governance.
You’ll be a constructive and inclusive contributor, someone who listens, challenges thoughtfully, and acts with empathy, evidence and integrity.
