Student Placement & Professional Learning Advisor

Role Purpose

Own the end-to-end coordination of student placements/internships and deliver professional learning that builds employability skills. You’ll broker industry partnerships, advise students, ensure compliance, and track outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

Placement Operations

Source, scope, and confirm internship/placement opportunities across priority sectors.
Match students to roles; manage applications, interviews, and onboarding.
Draft/execute MOUs, placement agreements, and risk assessments; maintain documentation.
Coordinate schedules, induction, supervision, and mid/final evaluations.

Student Advising & Professional Learning

Provide 1:1 and group advising on career goals, CVs, interview prep, and workplace readiness.
Design and deliver workshops (e.g., communication, teamwork, problem-solving, digital skills).
Support students with additional needs; escalate welfare/safeguarding concerns appropriately.

Employer & Academic Liaison

Build and maintain employer pipelines; conduct regular account reviews.
Partner with program leads/faculty to align placements with learning outcomes and accreditation.
Organize employer talks, career fairs, and job-shadowing/clinics.

Compliance, Quality & Risk

Ensure compliance with institutional policies and external accreditation/visa/insurance requirements.
Monitor workplace health & safety standards and incident reporting.
Collect supervisor feedback; drive continuous improvement of placement quality.

Data & Reporting

Maintain accurate records in SIS/CRM; track KPIs (placement rates, satisfaction, retention).
Produce weekly/monthly dashboards and end-of-term outcome reports.

Qualifications & Experience

Bachelor’s degree in Education, Business/HR, Psychology, or related field (Master’s preferred).
3–6 years in student placements, career services, academic advising, employer relations, or HR/Talent.
Proven experience managing multi-stakeholder programs and high-volume student cohorts.
GCC/MEA education or industry exposure is an advantage.

Skills & Competencies

Relationship building and stakeholder management (students, employers, faculty).
Strong advising/coaching, presentation, and facilitation skills.
Organized, detail-driven; able to manage multiple deadlines.
Excellent written/spoken English; Arabic a plus.
Proficient with SIS/CRM/LMS tools (e.g., Banner, PeopleSoft, Symplicity/Handshake), MS 365/Google Workspace, and basic reporting.

Placement rate & time-to-placement
Student and employer satisfaction (NPS/CSAT)
Workshop attendance and skills attainment
Compliance audit results and on-time documentation
Repeat employer engagement and new partnerships closed

Other Information

Occasional evening/weekend events; local travel to employer sites.
Background checks may be required.
