Data Analyst

Overview

Our client is a fast-growing Brazilian startup leading the way in electric mobility across Latin America. As the region’s largest electric two-wheeler fleet operator, the company combines a rental platform with a proprietary battery-swapping network to eliminate barriers to electric adoption. Backed by more than $40 million from top investors, the company is building a mission-driven team to redefine urban transportation. They are seeking a Data Analyst to transform complex data into actionable insights, predictive models, and automated workflows that drive smarter decisions and improve customer experiences.

Challenges you would face

Developing predictive risk models using telematics data to estimate accident and fine probabilities
Building systems to calculate real-time customer profitability and identify key revenue and cost drivers
Analyzing churn and retention patterns to identify at-risk customers and drivers of loyalty
Mapping and analyzing customer journeys to improve satisfaction and eliminate friction points
Creating decision models for battery charging strategies to optimize demand, costs, and asset lifetime
Predicting vehicle and battery lifetimes to inform predictive maintenance and fleet optimization
Conducting geospatial and market analyses to guide network expansion strategies
Designing dashboards and communicating findings to technical and non-technical stakeholders

The ideal candidate

Proven experience as a Data Analyst, BI Analyst, Data Scientist, or similar role
Advanced proficiency in SQL and relational databases such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, or BigQuery
Strong skills in Python or R with data analysis and modeling libraries
Experience with data visualization tools such as Metabase
Solid understanding of statistics, predictive modeling, and machine learning fundamentals
Pragmatic ownership mindset with ability to deliver quick wins while building long-term foundations
Excellent communication skills for translating analyses into business insights

Plus

Experience in startup environments
Background working with large datasets, especially IoT data
Familiarity with agentic AI frameworks such as LangChain or AutoGen
Experience with low-code platforms for internal tools and automations
Advanced knowledge of AI/ML concepts and applications
Experience with ETL/ELT tools and workflow orchestration
