As a Senior Technology Associate, you’ll lead the design and coordination of complex low-voltage systems across a wide range of project types—healthcare, life sciences, commercial, and more. You’ll serve as both a technical expert and client-facing consultant, delivering thoughtful, future-ready solutions in structured cabling, AV, security, network infrastructure, and specialty technology systems.

This role blends hands-on technical work with strategic project leadership. You’ll guide cross-disciplinary coordination, mentor junior team members, and ensure project success from concept through construction. You’ll be based in New York City with a hybrid schedule and must be comfortable with occasional travel to job sites.

What You’ll Do

Technology Design & Consulting

Design and document integrated low-voltage systems: structured cabling (ISP/OSP), voice/data networks, AV, security (CCTV/access control), and specialty systems (e.g., lab, medical, and manufacturing tech).
Translate project needs into schematic layouts, rack elevations, signal flows, and detailed drawings using Revit, Bluebeam, and related tools.
Conduct site assessments and document existing system conditions.
Develop CSI-format Division 27 technical specifications and coordinate closely with other disciplines.
Review shop drawings, respond to RFIs, and conduct construction site inspections to ensure design intent is upheld.
Support innovation through research and the integration of emerging technologies into design standards.

Project Management

Manage project scope, schedules, deliverables, and budgets to ensure quality and client satisfaction.
Collaborate with PMs, design leads, and client teams to communicate risks, dependencies, and critical milestones.
Develop customized reporting and documentation to support project transparency and accountability.
Serve as the primary liaison between the technology design team and project stakeholders.

Client Engagement

Build strong client relationships and act as a trusted advisor on both technical and strategic levels.
Communicate complex technical topics in clear, business-friendly language.
Represent the firm in meetings and presentations, providing leadership and direction throughout the project lifecycle.

Mentorship & Leadership

Provide technical guidance and training to junior staff members.
Lead by example in quality control, documentation, and cross-functional collaboration.
Contribute to internal standards development and continuous process improvement.

What You’ll Bring

Required Qualifications

3–5+ years of experience in low-voltage infrastructure and IT systems design.
Experience with medium-to-large scale cabling/network projects and cross-discipline team collaboration.
RCDD certification (must be current).
Strong communication, organizational, and documentation skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365, Visio, and Bluebeam.
Working knowledge of industry standards (NEC, TIA/EIA, IEEE) and code compliance.
Experience interpreting shop drawings, managing RFIs, and performing site inspections.

Preferred Qualifications

PMP certification or equivalent project leadership experience.
Additional certifications: OSP, CCNA, CTS, CTS-D.
Familiarity with AutoCAD and Revit.
Prior consulting experience in healthcare, life sciences, or similar technical sectors.

Work Environment & Travel

Hybrid work schedule with flexibility to work from home and in-office in NYC.
Travel up to 50% based on project needs, including occasional overnight stays.
