What You Will Do

This role is critical in ensuring that all documentation related to food safety, quality assurance, and compliance is accurate, up-to-date, and aligned with industry standards.

Responsibilities:

Develop, manage, and maintain documentation systems for food safety, quality assurance, and regulatory compliance.
Ensure all SOPs, HACCP plans, and food safety protocols are current and properly archived.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Operations, QA, R&D, Co-Manufacturing Partners) to support documentation needs for audits, certifications, and inspections.
Prepare and submit documentation for regulatory bodies and customer approvals.
Track and manage corrective actions and preventive measures (CAPA) documentation.
Support traceability and recall readiness through accurate recordkeeping and documentation workflows.
Assist in the development of documentation for food safety programs.
Maintain version control and document integrity across all platforms.
Monitor compliance with internal and external documentation standards.
Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives related to documentation and food safety and quality systems.
Assist with new product claim certifications with 3rd party auditing bodies
Review product labels for regulatory labeling and product claim compliance.
Assist with project workflow for quality and food safety projects.
Assist with managing co-man quality improvement projects.

Who You Are

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food manufacturing documentation, regulatory requirements (e.g., FDA, FSMA), and quality systems within the CPG sector.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Microbiology, Quality Assurance, or a related field.
3+ years of experience in documentation or quality systems within the food manufacturing or CPG industry.
Experience with TraceGains for supplier documentation, specification management, and compliance tracking is ideal but not required
Experience with Regulatory Labeling reviews.
Familiarity with food safety regulations (FDA, FSMA, GFSI, SQF, HACCP).
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Experience with document management systems and digital archiving tools.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
