Program Manager – San Francisco

A leading national engineering and consulting firm is seeking a Program Manager to oversee capital projects at San Francisco International Airport (SFO). This individual will support program management and owner’s representative contracts, serving as a key partner to airport staff in the successful delivery of large-scale projects.

Key Responsibilities

Serve as a partner to airport staff, providing input on design direction for design/build teams.
Compile schedules and project summaries for capital projects using SFO-approved tools, reviewing and validating contractor-submitted schedules.
Lead project controls and reporting procedures, ensuring timely updates in the Airport’s PM platform (Unifier) and preparing reports and deliverables to support program management.
Review and manage project financials, including contractor payment requests, budgets, forecasts, and cost-saving opportunities.
Lead the review and preparation of project estimates, budget forecasts, life cycle costs, and cost-benefit analyses.
Oversee document control processes, ensuring accurate documentation and logs in the Airport’s systems.
Provide specialized consulting services as needed, such as safety risk assessments, phasing plan reviews, and design updates.

Qualifications

10+ years of experience managing large capital projects, preferably with airport or transportation facility programs.
Prior experience in design and construction projects as a project manager, lead designer, or similar role.
Familiarity with FAA and CBP regulations.
Experience with Integrated Design Build methodologies strongly preferred.
Proficiency in Bluebeam and Microsoft Office Suite.
Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills with the ability to self-manage and collaborate effectively.
Active participation in relevant industry organizations.
Associate’s degree in Applied Science required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
