Job Description: Associate Director - Internal Audit (Manufacturing)

Position Overview

The Associate Director - Internal Audit will play a pivotal role in leading internal audits for the manufacturing sector. This position is key for ensuring compliance, improving efficiency, and evaluating risk management processes.

Key Responsibilities

Lead and oversee internal audit engagements focusing on manufacturing operations, identifying areas for improvement and risk mitigation.
Develop optimal audit strategies and methodologies to ensure thorough assessments of operational effectiveness.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate audit findings into business operations and strategic planning.
Prepare and present detailed audit reports to the senior management and stakeholders, outlining findings, recommendations, and action plans.
Monitor regulatory changes affecting the manufacturing industry and ensure the organization remains compliant.
Mentor and guide junior audit staff, providing training and support in audit practices and principles.
Foster relationships with clients and build trust through transparent communication and effective collaboration.

Essential Qualifications

A bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field; an MBA or relevant master’s degree is preferred.
Professional certification such as CIA (Certified Internal Auditor) or CPA (Certified Public Accountant) is highly desirable.

Desired Experience

At least 8-10 years of experience in internal auditing, with a focus on the manufacturing sector.
Proven experience in leading audit teams and delivering comprehensive audit reports.
Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, operational risks, and regulatory frameworks.
Experience working at a Big 4 accounting firm is required.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills, capable of presenting findings and recommendations clearly to stakeholders.
