Entertainment Channel Manager

Overview

As the largest multi-vertical video publisher in the world, they reach billions of monthly views and over 600 million unique users. They are seeking an Entertainment Channel Manager to curate and package existing film and TV content, driving growth for YouTube channels representing iconic movies, studios, and archives. This role focuses on reimagining existing assets to maximize reach and engagement.

Challenges you would face

Curating and repackaging movie and TV content into engaging YouTube videos
Managing day-to-day channel operations, including programming, optimization, and metadata
Building content calendars aligned with milestones, release schedules, and platform trends
Leveraging AI tools and automation to improve efficiency and quality
Researching trends and audience behavior to shape channel strategies
Collaborating with editors and designers to deliver on agreed timelines
Monitoring community interactions and engaging with fans in a brand-aligned voice
Analyzing performance data to extract insights and improve content packaging
Supporting ideation, light scripting, and edit reviews

The ideal candidate

Early-career contractor with freelance, internship, co-op, or self-produced experience in media or entertainment
Familiarity with AI, automation, and emerging technologies in content workflows
Strong editorial instincts and passion for film and television
Excellent writing skills with strong grammar and tone control
Organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple deliverables
Comfort interpreting performance data and audience behavior
Collaborative, adaptable, and curious working style

Plus

Familiarity with editing tools such as Adobe Premiere
Experience or strong interest in film and TV landscapes, including franchises, streaming, and digital fandom
Portfolio or examples showcasing creative, editorial, or digital media work
