A leading technology consulting and design firm is seeking a Designer with a focus on enterprise security systems for large-scale data centers.

The ideal candidate will bring strong technical expertise in video surveillance, access control, intrusion detection, and physical security systems (including gates, fencing, and barriers). Hands-on experience with systems from manufacturers such as Milestone and Lenel is expected. Familiarity with Perimeter Intrusion Detection Systems (PIDS) — including FLIR thermal technologies, ground radar, and fence detection solutions — along with a working knowledge of video analytics, is required.

The role also requires experience developing Division 28 specifications and applying quality control techniques to ensure alignment between specifications and drawing packages. Proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD is essential.

Key Responsibilities

Produce detailed project deliverables including annotated floor plans, mounting details, single-line diagrams, device schedules, and Division 28 specifications.
Support client needs through design development, site visits, basis-of-design narratives, and construction documentation.
Review submittals and RFIs while supporting the team through project completion.
Collaborate with subject matter experts, project managers, and BIM staff to develop coordinated technology packages for architects, contractors, and clients.
Develop clear, fully detailed diagrams and design drawings for field implementation.
Prepare design documents in Revit and AutoCAD that comply with applicable codes and standards.
Contribute to conceptual planning and assist with project management tasks including scheduling and documentation.
Perform construction administration tasks to ensure smooth project delivery.
Provide mentorship and share technical knowledge with junior team members.
Stay up to date on emerging technologies and participate in ongoing training and development.
