POSITION SUMMARY

The Commercial Estimator plays a key role in securing and managing large-scale non-insurance restoration projects across environmental, abatement, demolition, and remediation services. “Commercial” in this role refers to work performed outside of traditional residential insurance restoration, focusing instead on general contractor relationships, multifamily, industrial, healthcare, hospitality, and education clients.

This position combines technical estimating precision with business development and relationship management to help expand the company’s footprint across commercial and large-loss markets. Candidates with existing industry connections or experience with large-loss insurance work and national restoration networks are especially valuable.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Market to and acquire new commercial and industrial customers.
Maintain and grow relationships with existing clients and contractors.
Conduct site visits to inspect projects and prepare accurate estimates using Xactimate and internal CRM systems.
Create detailed project proposals, secure signed contracts, and ensure documentation accuracy.
Manage ongoing projects and client communication to maintain high satisfaction.
Follow up on bids, track opportunities, and close deals efficiently.
Attend networking events, training sessions, and industry workshops to expand contacts and technical knowledge.
Maintain required certifications for demo, abatement, and remediation estimating.
Partner closely with operations and field teams to ensure seamless project handoff and execution.

REQUIREMENTS

2+ years of experience in commercial estimating (construction, abatement, remediation, or restoration).
Experience working with general contractors and property owners; multifamily or industrial project experience preferred.
Proven sales and relationship-building background with strong client network.
Xactimate experience preferred; proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite required.
Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel locally.
Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
Established book of business or existing industry contacts highly preferred.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Ability to sit up to 8 hours per day; minimal standing or lifting.
Frequent use of keyboard, phone, and computer systems.
Must be able to communicate clearly and travel to project sites as needed.
