Senior Data Engineer

The Senior Data Engineer will design, build, and optimize data infrastructure that empowers analytics and business teams to make informed decisions. This role combines deep technical expertise with a collaborative mindset, mentoring others while leading the development of scalable, efficient, and reliable data systems.

Challenges you would face

Design and implement scalable data architectures, warehouses, and integration pipelines
Develop and maintain data systems enabling analytics and business insights across multiple teams
Lead large, complex data engineering projects from scoping to delivery
Collaborate with analytics engineers, data analysts, and other functional teams to meet client requirements
Identify opportunities to improve reliability, maintainability, and performance of existing systems
Mentor junior engineers through technical guidance, documentation, and code reviews
Architect systems using iterative design patterns that support scaling and long-term sustainability
Contribute to the improvement of internal processes and tools for data management and accessibility

The ideal candidate

Proven experience as a Data Engineer or in a similar role focused on data pipeline development
Strong programming skills in Python and SQL
Experience working with modern data stack tools such as dbt, Airflow, Dagster, Snowflake, or Databricks
Deep understanding of data warehousing and ETL/ELT processes
Familiarity with data integration and orchestration tools like Fivetran or Azure Data Factory
Experience in consulting or agency environments is highly valued
Advanced English proficiency for daily communication with international stakeholders
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills

Plus

Hands-on experience with streaming technologies like Spark Streaming, Kafka, or Flink
Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure
Knowledge of MLOps practices and tools
Experience mentoring or leading other engineers
Proficiency in additional programming languages such as Scala or Rust
