Technical Delivery Manager

Overview

Our client is seeking a Technical Delivery Manager to drive execution and delivery across engineering and product teams within a high-growth fintech platform. This is a hands-on, delivery-oriented position — not a ceremonies-only Scrum Master role. The ideal candidate ensures predictable sprint outcomes, removes blockers, aligns priorities, and maintains visibility for leadership. You’ll work closely with technical and product leadership to sustain momentum, quality, and accountability across distributed teams.

Challenges you would face

Own sprint planning, prioritization, and delivery tracking across backend, frontend, and QA teams
Identify and resolve risks early, removing blockers and aligning dependencies to keep work moving
Balance priorities between new features, technical debt, and production escalations
Coordinate release readiness and communicate delivery progress clearly to leadership
Collaborate with Product to translate roadmap goals into actionable sprint plans
Ensure fast and effective handling of escalations and feedback from cross-functional teams
Facilitate efficient standups, retros, and planning sessions focused on clarity and accountability
Track delivery metrics such as velocity, cycle time, and sprint completion rate
Provide data-driven visibility into project health, risks, and trends for the leadership team
Onboard new engineers and reinforce best practices that promote autonomy and transparency

The ideal candidate

5+ years of experience in technical project or delivery management roles (Technical Project Manager, Delivery Lead, Engineering Manager, or Senior Scrum Master)
Proven record managing software delivery in SaaS, fintech, or high-velocity agile environments
Experience coordinating cross-functional teams including backend, frontend, QA, and product stakeholders
Strong understanding of software development lifecycles, CI/CD, and release processes
Familiarity with modern tools such as Jira, Confluence, and GitHub for tracking and collaboration
Comfortable discussing architecture, APIs, and microservice dependencies with engineers
Experience with cloud environments, preferably AWS
Exceptional communication skills with the ability to influence and align teams without formal authority
Calm, pragmatic, and solution-focused approach to problem-solving under pressure
Strong analytical mindset with a focus on delivery metrics and continuous improvement

Background in fintech or SaaS with experience managing data-driven platforms
Experience working with distributed teams across time zones
Ability to design lightweight, scalable delivery processes
Previous experience improving team predictability and velocity forecasting
Familiarity with Agile methodologies tailored for lean, senior engineering environments
