Main responsibilities
A Project Commissioning Manager for a gas engine power plant is responsible for overseeing the entire mechanical completion, pre-commissioning and commissioning (both cold and hot commissioning) and startup process. This involves ensuring that all systems-including mechanical, electrical, and control systems, are installed, tested, and operate according to project specifications, safety standards, and environmental regulations. The role involves also leading multidisciplinary teams, developing and approving mechanical completion, pre-commissioning and commissioning plans and procedures, troubleshooting technical issues and ensuring the plant operates according to design specifications before handing it over to the Client.
The role requires strong technical knowledge of power plant operations, excellent project management abilities, and leadership skills to manage multi-disciplinary teams.

Leadership and management: Proven ability to lead, mentor, and motivate a multidisciplinary team under pressure.
Technical expertise: In-depth knowledge of power plant operations, commissioning methodologies, and control systems.
Problem-solving: Strong analytical skills to diagnose and resolve complex technical issues.
Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English to effectively coordinate with diverse stakeholders, including client, subcontractors, and regulatory authorities.
Project management: Proficiency in using project management software and tools for scheduling, tracking, and reporting
Knowledge of Proverlis Software will be a plus

Qualifications:

A bachelor's degree in relevant engineering discipline (mechanical, electrical, or industrial).
Extensive, proven experience (typically 8+ years) in commissioning power generation plants, especially those involving gas engines or turbines.
Experience in a leadership role, having managed teams of supervisors and technicians.
Certification in project management (e.g., PMP) is often preferred
