Offshore Bookkeeper

Role Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Offshore Bookkeeper to manage essential accounting functions under the guidance of our Controller. This role is ideal for a highly motivated individual comfortable working remotely and reporting to a globally distributed team. The primary focus will be supporting Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) reconciliation and maintaining precise financial records.

Reporting Structure and Culture

This position reports directly to our highly experienced Controller, who is based in the Philippines. The successful candidate must be comfortable with the dynamics of reporting to a talented colleague overseas. We value effective remote collaboration and clear communication to ensure seamless financial operations.

Key Responsibilities

Accounts Payable/Receivable: Provide consistent support for the reconciliation of Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) to ensure accuracy and timely processing of payments and collections.
Bookkeeping Duties: Execute core bookkeeping tasks, including recording financial transactions, maintaining general ledger accounts, and preparing necessary documentation.
Documentation and Accuracy: Ensure all financial records and documentation are accurate, complete, and filed efficiently for easy retrieval.
Compliance: Assist the Controller in adhering to internal controls and standard accounting procedures.
Collaboration: Work closely with the Controller to assist with daily, weekly, and monthly closing procedures and reports.

Required Skills & Experience

Experience: A minimum of 2 years of experience in bookkeeping, accounting, or specialized AP/AR reconciliation roles is required.
Technical Proficiency: Strong knowledge of accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero, etc.) and Microsoft Excel.
Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, crucial for clear reporting and taking detailed instruction in a remote setting.
Adaptability: Must be comfortable working in a distributed environment and reporting to a manager located internationally.
