Overview:

A growing construction and interiors firm is seeking a detail-oriented Estimator - Cost Planning Specialist to join their team. This role is ideal for someone with a strong analytical mindset and a passion for precision in estimating project costs. You’ll play a key role in shaping project budgets and supporting successful bid submissions.

Estimator Key Responsibilities:

Estimator will review project briefs, technical drawings, and specifications to prepare for cost evaluation.
Assess labour, materials, and time requirements to generate accurate cost projections.
Develop comprehensive pricing estimates for both potential and confirmed projects.
Track project progress and update cost forecasts as needed.
Determine total anticipated expenses for each project.
Coordinate and evaluate quotations from suppliers and subcontractors.
Interpret bid data to produce detailed financial breakdowns.
Maintain records of actual expenditures for ongoing and completed projects.
Produce labour cost assessments tailored to each job.
Estimator to investigate and resolve any inconsistencies in project data or pricing.
Support additional tasks as assigned by management.

Ideal Candidate Profile:

Estimator must have proven experience in estimating within construction, millwork, or related sectors.
Strong numerical and analytical skills.
Proficient in reading technical drawings and specifications.
Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities.
Comfortable working with vendors and negotiating pricing.
Able to work independently and meet deadlines.
