We’re working with a leading engineering and research consultancy that supports federal, state, and commercial clients nationwide — and they’re looking to add a Senior Engineer to their growing Facilities Planning & Engineering Team.

What You’ll Do:

Lead and provide engineering and technical expertise to teams of architects, engineers, and partner firms
Oversee the design and construction of U.S. Navy and DoD facilities, including those supporting energetics and explosives operations
Ensure all projects meet UFC, NAVSEA Instructions, and DoD quality and safety standards
Manage design reviews, quality control, and compliance documentation
Drive excellence in project delivery — meeting client expectations for quality, cost, and schedule
Support post-construction services, including coordination and review as needed
Build long-term, trusted relationships with clients, partners, and internal teams

What You’ll Bring:

✅ Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Architecture, or a related field
✅ 20+ years of relevant experience in design and construction of DoD or U.S. Navy facilities
✅ Deep understanding of UFCs, NAVSEA Instructions, and military design standards
✅ Direct experience preparing complete design packages for DoD or Navy projects
✅ Strong leadership and team management skills — capable of overseeing multiple active projects
✅ Experience with design-bid-build processes and government construction codes
✅ Technical expertise in at least one of the following disciplines (multiple preferred):

Mechanical / HVAC
Plumbing / Electrical
Structural / Civil
Fire Protection
✅ Familiarity with energetics and explosives facility design (highly preferred)
✅ Professional Engineer (PE) or Registered Architect (RA) license
✅ Excellent written and verbal communication and stakeholder management skills
✅ Ability to obtain a DoD SECRET clearance
