Automotive Embedded Engineer – Specialist

Summary
The role focuses on end-to-end embedded development in the automotive domain. The ideal candidate brings deep experience in both hardware design and software development for automotive systems, along with a strong understanding of safety, architecture, and testing workflows.

Education
Bachelor’s degree in Electronics or a related field.

Required Skills and Experience

• 15+ years of experience in automotive embedded hardware and software
• Solid understanding of the automotive V-cycle development process
• Ability to define system architecture, system design, safety concepts, and integration/testing strategies
• AUTOSAR architecture experience, including BSW configuration and integration
• Model-based development; MATLAB/Simulink modelling experience is preferred
• ECU hardware/software design and integration
• Automotive software development within functional safety processes; familiarity with ISO 26262 and participation in FMEA/FTA
• ECU performance verification, including testing, debugging, characterization, and validation using tools such as oscilloscopes, multimeters, signal/pattern generators, logic analyzers, spectrum/network analyzers
• Experience developing and executing HIL (Hardware-in-the-Loop) testing
• Knowledge of test automation tools such as dSPACE PHS, dSPACE Scalexio (ControlDesk, ConfigurationDesk, AutomationDesk) or similar
• Scripting ability in Python or C
• Hands-on experience with Vector tools: CANoe, CANalyzer, CANdela Studio
• Understanding of diagnostic standards and development of CAN, SPI, and I²C communication protocols
• Ability to create software development plans, including WBS creation
• Documentation skills using UML (block diagrams, sequence diagrams, state machines, state transition diagrams, data flow diagrams)
• Code review experience aligned with quality and safety guidelines
• Exposure to embedded EV technologies
