Position Summary

Great Basin Staffing LLC is looking for an experienced HVAC Installer available for an immediate start on a short-duration project in the Portland metro area. The scope is a 1-day installation assignment, but high-performing techs will be considered for the contractor’s continuous stream of upcoming projects throughout Oregon.

This role is ideal for a technician who wants fast placement, good pay, and the chance to become a go-to installer for future work.

Key Responsibilities

• Install HVAC components including ductwork, registers, hangers, fastening systems, and equipment set points
• Follow site layouts and installer direction to complete tasks efficiently and safely
• Support lead technicians and project supervisors with material handling and task execution
• Use hand and power tools confidently and properly
• Maintain a clean, safe work area and follow all OSHA and site-specific safety protocols
• Complete assigned scope within the required one-day project window

Required Skills & Experience

• Prior experience as an HVAC Installer, Sheet Metal Installer, Mechanical Installer, or related trade
• Ability to read simple layout instructions and follow direction from the lead
• Proficient with basic hand tools and installation standards
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
• Ability to start immediately
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States

Preferred (Not Required)

• Commercial HVAC installation experience
• Familiarity with duct install, setting registers, hangers, sealing, or equipment placement
• Ability to work independently or within a small team on fast-moving projects
