About the Role

We are recruiting for a Senior Fire Protection Engineer to join a leading global engineering consultancy and play a key role in delivering high-level fire protection and life safety solutions across the U.S.

This role is ideal for an experienced engineer who is technically strong, comfortable leading projects, and enjoys collaborating with clients and multidisciplinary teams. You’ll work remotely while contributing to nationally significant projects across infrastructure, transportation, healthcare, commercial, and industrial sectors.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead fire protection and life safety engineering projects from concept through delivery
Provide expert code consulting and performance-based design solutions
Design and review fire alarm, sprinkler, smoke control, and special hazard systems
Prepare and review technical reports, drawings, and specifications
Coordinate with architects, engineers, owners, and authorities having jurisdiction
Mentor junior engineers and support technical development across the team
Contribute to project planning, scope definition, and quality control efforts

What You Bring:

Bachelor’s degree in Fire Protection Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field
7–12+ years of fire protection engineering experience
PE license in Fire Protection Engineering (required or ability to obtain)
Strong knowledge of NFPA standards, IBC/IFC, and applicable state/local codes
Experience working in a consulting environment on complex projects
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to lead projects independently in a remote work environment
