Business Development Manager (BDM) – Staff Augmentation & IT Services

Role Overview

Our organization is currently rebuilding its US revenue engine. We are seeking a high-impact Business Development Manager (BDM) to design, launch, and lead a sophisticated outbound and relationship-driven sales motion for staff augmentation and professional services.

This is not a "plug-and-play" sales position. This is a foundational leadership-track role for a strategic hunter who enjoys the "zero-to-one" phase of growth. You will transition the company from founder-led sales to a repeatable, scalable engine, working directly with executive leadership to shape how revenue is generated for years to come.

Key Responsibilities

1. GTM Strategy & Architectural Design (First 60 Days)

Strategic Planning: Author a 30/90/180-day revenue roadmap aligned with onshore, nearshore, and offshore delivery models.
Vertical Mapping: Refine the Ideal Customer Profile (ICP) for core pillars: FinTech, Healthcare IT, and Engineering/Infrastructure.
Persona Targeting: Identify and engage high-value buyer personas (CTO, VP Engineering, CIO, HR/Procurement).
Financial Modeling: Build data-driven revenue forecasts (Q1–Q4) with clear assumptions for leadership review.

2. End-to-End Business Development

Full-Cycle Ownership: Own the sales process from cold outreach and networking to MSA execution and initial consultant placement.
Global Delivery Positioning: Effectively sell a blended delivery model (US Onshore, Mexico/Canada Nearshore, and India Offshore).
Consultative Discovery: Lead high-level discovery sessions focused on talent gaps, compliance requirements, and delivery timelines.
Network Utilization: Leverage an existing professional network to accelerate "warm" entry into mid-market and enterprise accounts.

3. Executive Leadership & Execution

C-Suite Collaboration: Present weekly GTM progress, pipeline health, and forecast accuracy to the CEO and Board.
Deal Structuring: Partner with leadership to innovate on pricing models and deal structures that maximize margin while ensuring client retention.
Thought Leadership: Represent the firm at industry conferences and networking events to establish brand authority.

4. Scaling for the Future

Process Documentation: Standardize sales playbooks, qualification criteria, and messaging frameworks.
Future Team Building: Define the KPIs and hiring roadmap for a future SDR/BDR team.
Tech Stack Optimization: Recommend and implement CRM workflows and sales automation tools to ensure transparency.

Ideal Candidate Profile

Required Experience

7+ years of high-performance B2B sales experience specifically within Staff Augmentation or Professional Services.
Market Mastery: Deep understanding of the US staffing landscape, including SOW/MSA negotiations and compliance standards.
Revenue Track Record: Proven history of carrying and exceeding individual quotas (not just lead generation).

Preferred Background

Experience in IT Staffing or Management Consulting.
An active network within FinTech, Healthcare, or Energy sectors.
Experience "restarting" or "rebuilding" a sales territory after a period of dormancy or transition.

Operational Foundation: Sales processes documented and ready for team expansion.
