Solution Architect Job Spec – The person needs to be based in Dublin, working in the office

Job Responsibilities:

Understand business objectives and provide solution blueprints that enable the downstream teams to deliver exceptional product capabilities to meet our clients needs
Solve complex client problems in a way that delivers strategic business outcomes
Identify and support the adoption of new core capabilities and influence technology selection processes
Become an expert on our clients business capabilities and how to best deploy them to resolve specific project needs
Work with engineering teams to develop prototypes and proof of concept applications to prove new architectures and technologies
Communicate complex technical concepts to both teachnical and non-technical audience
Work with engineering teams to provide guidance and support
Engage with the wider organizations worldwide and relevant Industry Organizations

Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field
Proven experience designing and architecting large complex distributed systems
Experience in the payments domain is a distinct advantage
Experience in European Merchant Acquiring specifics such as local protocols, regulations, payment products is an highly desired
Experience with architecture modelling tools
Strong understanding of microservices architecture, containerisation and orchestration
Experience with cloud platforms and serverless computing
Proficiency in database technologies and messaging systems
Solution Integration: ability to provide blueprints for integrating diverse systems and technologies to create a cohesive and efficient solution, including designing and implementing integration patterns, APIs, and data flows.
Ability to understand both functional and non-functional requirements and to provide solutions that meet the desired quality attributes of the technology platform
Strong communication and presentation skills
Leadership and mentoring skills to guide development teams in architectural best practices
