This is not a back-office finance role! As Senior Director of Finance at Actual Veggies, you’ll partner directly with the founders to shape and drive financial performance. You’ll be a pivotal driver in our expansion, where your decisions directly move the needle for the brand.

At Actual Veggies, we celebrate whole foods, real ingredients and veggies! Launched in 2021, our veggie burgers and super fries are available nationally in over 12,000 retail doors including Whole Foods, Sprouts, Kroger, and Albertsons/Safeway. We've doubled revenue year over year, for the last 4 years and looking for people to help us continue on this crazy journey.

What You Will Do

We are seeking a Finance leader to partner closely with our Finance, Operations, and Sales teams to drive financial performance across the business. This role sits at the intersection of finance and operations, providing insight, discipline, and decision support to help scale a high-growth CPG food brand.

Financial Planning, Analysis & Strategy:

Provide strategic thought partnership to the CEOs of the Company as a member of the Actual Veggies leadership team.
Develop and execute the Company's financial strategy, aligning with overall business objectives.
Support the effective decision making of the business through a managerial finance lens.
Lead the annual planning process, partnering cross functionally to build a plan that achieves company goals.
Present financials to the Leadership Team and the Board, highlighting key insights and opportunities to drive value to the company.
Support board material preparations and board/investor communications.
Lead special projects and analysis including long range planning, trade optimization, innovation, customer profitability, etc.
Support pricing, SKU rationalization, innovation, new pack size development, and other special projects.

Operational Financial Support:

Partner with the Operations team to provide financial leadership on manufacturing costs, capital investments, freight, warehousing, and inventory.
Lead operations-related forecasting and planning, including COGS, logistics, and other operations costs.
Own, analyze, and optimize COGS, including raw material, packaging, tolling, and logistics costs.
Identify cost-saving opportunities and margin improvement initiatives and partner cross functionally to execute them.

Operations Planning:

Act as the finance lead for S&OP / demand and supply planning processes, partnering across sales, finance, and operations to optimize demand & supply.
Partner with the head of Operations to support production planning to maintain best in class fill rates while managing inventory levels, working capital, and spoilage.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
8–10 years of experience in finance (CPG or food & beverage strongly preferred).
Proven track record of developing and executing successful financial strategies.
Strong understanding of COGS, inventory accounting, and Financial Statements.
Advanced Excel financial modeling skills.
Ability to translate complex data into clear insights for non-finance partners.
A hands-on (“no job is too small”) mentality.
Strong business partnership and communication skills.
Detail-oriented with the ability to zoom out strategically.
Comfortable working in ambiguity and a high-growth environment.
Proactive, ownership mindset with strong follow-through.
