About the Role

We’re hiring a high-output Video Editor to support a fast-growing content operation focused on YouTube long-form and high-volume short-form distribution across TikTok, Instagram Reels, Facebook Reels, and Meta platforms.

This role is ideal for an editor who understands how content performs, not just how to cut video.

You’ll be responsible for producing 10–20 short-form videos per day, repurposed from YouTube content, interviews, and long-form recordings — optimized for retention, watch time, hooks, titles, and thumbnails.

This is a performance-driven role with bonuses tied directly to views and growth milestones.

What You’ll Be Editing

Short-Form Content (Primary Focus)

Vertical clips for:
- TikTok
- Instagram Reels
- Facebook Reels
“Mini-clips” pulled from long-form YouTube videos and interviews
Fast-paced, scroll-stopping edits optimized for:
- First 1–3 second hook
- Strong pacing
- Clean captions
- Visual emphasis
High daily volume: 10–20 short-form videos per day

YouTube Content (Core Skill Requirement)

Long-form YouTube edits
Strong understanding of:
- Retention curves
- Jump cuts & pacing
- Pattern interrupts
- Viewer psychology
YouTube-specific editing style (not cinematic — performance-focused)

Key Responsibilities

Short-Form Editing

Create high-volume vertical clips optimized for Meta platforms
Identify high-impact moments from long-form videos and interviews
Edit with speed, clarity, and strong storytelling
Apply simple but effective animations (text, emphasis, motion highlights)
Format for multiple platforms with correct specs

YouTube Optimization

Edit long-form YouTube videos with retention in mind
Collaborate on titles and thumbnails strategy
Understand what drives:
- Click-through rate (CTR)
- Average view duration (AVD)
- Watch time

Animations & Visual Enhancements

Use simple motion graphics, not overproduction
Animated captions, emphasis words, zooms, highlights
Clean, modern, social-native look

AI-Driven Editing Workflow

Utilize AI tools to:
- Recommend animations
- Speed up clipping
- Streamline editing workflows
Comfortable experimenting with new AI editing tools to improve output speed and consistency

Tools & Platforms You May Use

Adobe Premiere Pro / After Effects (or equivalent)
CapCut (highly acceptable for short-form)
Descript, Opus, VEED, or similar AI tools
Photoshop / Figma for thumbnails
Frame.io or similar review tools

What Success Looks Like

Consistently producing 10–20 high-quality short-form videos per day
Strong YouTube pacing and storytelling instincts
Thumbnails and titles that improve CTR
Ability to move fast without sacrificing quality
Clear understanding of what performs on YouTube & social platforms
Hitting performance milestones that unlock bonus compensation

Ideal Candidate Profile

2+ years experience editing YouTube and short-form content
Deep understanding of YouTube algorithm fundamentals
Proven experience with vertical content performance
Strong instincts for:

- Pacing

Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-output environment
Data-minded — cares about views, not just visuals
Open to feedback and constant optimization
