About the Role

We’re partnering with a well-established, nationally respected engineering consultancy that is expanding its Fire Protection Engineering team in Atlanta.

They are looking for a Fire Protection Engineer with 5–10 years of experience who is comfortable leading projects, working directly with clients, and delivering high-quality fire and life safety solutions across a range of building types.

This role offers a strong mix of traditional fire protection consulting, system design review, code consulting, and performance analysis, with exposure to technically interesting and complex assignments.

What You’ll Be Doing:

Lead and support fire protection and life safety projects from concept through completion
Perform fire alarm, sprinkler, and suppression system design and review
Conduct code consulting and life safety analyses in accordance with NFPA, IBC, and IFC standards
Review construction documents and ensure compliance with applicable codes
Participate in site visits, system evaluations, and project coordination meetings
Prepare clear technical reports, calculations, and design documentation
Work closely with architects, contractors, owners, and AHJs
Support senior engineers on complex or specialty assignments when required

What We’re Looking For:

5–10 years of fire protection engineering experience
Strong background in fire alarm, sprinkler, and life safety system design
Working knowledge of NFPA codes, IBC/IFC, and local jurisdiction requirements
Experience within a consulting engineering environment
Strong communication and client-facing skills
PE license preferred (or actively pursuing)
Ability to manage multiple projects and deliver high-quality work independently
