Our client is part of a well‑established national accounting and advisory network with over 26 partners and more than 220 professionals across Queensland and Northern New South Wales. The firm provides a comprehensive suite of services, including audit, tax, accounting and business advisory, to a wide range of clients from privately owned businesses and high net wealth individuals to ASX‑listed entities and not‑for‑profits.

As a Senior Accountant in the Business Advisory division, you’ll work closely with Managers, Senior Managers and Partners to deliver high‑quality accounting, tax and advisory services to a diverse client portfolio. You’ll take ownership of compliance and advisory engagements, build strong client relationships and play a key role in mentoring and supporting junior team members.

The Role:

Prepare and review tax returns, financial statements (general and special purpose), management reports and work papers

Deliver accounting, taxation and business advisory services in line with professional standards

Support and mentor junior accountants to ensure accuracy and timely delivery

Build strong, trusted client and internal stakeholder relationships

Assist with workflow management, WIP, billing and productivity targets

Identify opportunities for additional services and referrals across the network

Contribute to process improvements, team initiatives and business development activities

About You:

A degree in Accounting, Commerce or Business

CA or CPA qualification

4+ years’ experience in public practice, including exposure to accounting and tax compliance

Strong knowledge of Australian accounting standards and taxation principles

Experience using accounting and cloud‑based software (e.g. Xero, MYOB, Reckon)

Excellent communication skills and a proactive, client‑focused mindset

A desire to mentor others and drive your professional development

Motivated and technically capable accountant who enjoys collaborative work and delivering quality client outcomes
