Role Introduction

We are currently seeking a talented and driven Technology Consultant to lead an established practice covering all aspects of IT Consulting, Strategic Planning, and Conceptual Design. This role is responsible for the continued growth of the practice, leading client workshops, and managing internal consulting resources.

While a significant portion of current work is within the aviation sector, this role supports projects and teams across all industry verticals served by the firm. Typical projects include large-scale aviation terminal development programs, IT on-call services, integrated Command & Control environments (Operations and Emergency Operations Centers), and IT Master Plans.

Experience

10+ years of consulting experience within the IT domain. Experience with audiovisual systems, security systems, aviation special systems, or command and control technologies is a plus.
5+ years of experience in a consulting role on aviation-related projects (preferred).
Demonstrated ability to lead technical and business-focused workshops, conduct stakeholder interviews, and deliver executive-level (C-suite) briefings for complex, multi-disciplinary programs.
Preferred: 2+ years of experience leading teams of consultants or solution architects within IT, AV, or AEC industries.
Proven experience producing collaborative written deliverables related to technology infrastructure, IoT/OT systems, and IT programs for a large U.S.-based consulting organization.
5+ years of experience performing IT program and staffing assessments, analysis, and recommendations for a large U.S.-based IT consulting, systems integration, or product development firm.
Preferred: 2+ years of experience in the Architecture, Engineering, and Construction (AEC) industry.

Responsibilities

Lead technical and business-focused workshops and client stakeholder interviews; develop comprehensive summaries and analytical deliverables in collaboration with discipline-specific subject matter experts.
Partner with firm leadership to mature consulting processes, standards, and methodologies while growing a high-performing consulting team.
Perform quality control reviews for deliverables across all assigned projects.
Delegate work and provide ongoing guidance to team members, including goal-based task assignments, performance reviews, and addressing personnel issues as needed.
Support professional development of team members by aligning individual goals with business development pipelines and client needs.
Coordinate and synthesize industry benchmarking and survey data to produce gap analyses and related strategic deliverables.
Collaborate with consulting leadership on strategic growth initiatives, mentoring staff and playing a key role in team building and process development.
Represent the firm in business development efforts by building and maintaining relationships with clients, manufacturers, and strategic partners.
Contribute to business development activities, including:
- Participating in client interviews and pre-bid meetings
- Supporting proposal development, including scopes of work and fee structures
- Identifying new business opportunities, partnerships, and potential market verticals

Education and Professional Certifications

Education: Bachelor’s degree in a related field such as Management Information Systems (MIS), Information Technology (IT), or Computer Science (CS).
Certifications (Preferred): ITIL 4 certifications, including ITIL 4 Master, Managing Professional, or IT Strategic Leader credentials.
