Toast is recruiting on behalf of this company for a Gen AI Senior Solutions Architect to join their Products & Technology team within Internal Firm Services. This is a pivotal leadership opportunity for a technology professional who is passionate about shaping the future of Generative AI in a large, enterprise environment.

This company is looking for a strategic and hands-on leader who will design, scale, and deliver innovative Gen AI solutions that strengthen digital capabilities and unlock new business models. Reporting to the Director of Solutions Architecture, this role plays a critical part in aligning AI innovation with broader business objectives.

This position ensures continuity and excellence following the departure of a valued team member and offers the opportunity to make a meaningful, visible impact across the organization.

Responsibilities

Lead solution design and technical delivery of Generative AI initiatives executed by development teams
Provide architectural guidance on Gen AI tools, frameworks, and platforms
Design scalable, secure AI-driven applications and enterprise services
Translate and clarify business requirements to ensure technical solutions align with organizational needs
Support and contribute to enterprise architecture processes and standards
Conduct periodic code reviews to maintain high-quality development standards
Shape and deliver digital products that exceed internal and client expectations
Partner with Enterprise Architects to evaluate and select appropriate technology solutions
Supervise and support vendor developers within assigned initiatives
Drive continuous improvements in development practices, documentation, and design methodologies
Collaborate within agile, product-focused teams to deliver impactful solutions

Requirements

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline
Extensive experience delivering large-scale software solutions in enterprise environments
Demonstrated expertise in Generative AI technologies, including:
- Large Language Models (e.g., GPT-4, ChatGPT, Gemini, Llama)
- Agent orchestration frameworks (e.g., Semantic Kernel, LangChain)
- Vector databases (e.g., Azure AI Search, Qdrant)
- Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) architectures
- Azure OpenAI, AWS Bedrock, Google Vertex AI, Microsoft Copilots
Strong experience with Azure Machine Learning and Azure AI Services
Proficiency in designing cloud-ready architectures using Azure infrastructure and platform services
Hands-on knowledge of service-oriented, event-driven, and microservices architectures
Experience with relational and NoSQL databases (MS SQL, MongoDB)
Experience with containerization and orchestration tools (Docker, Kubernetes)
Familiarity with DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, automation, and defect tracking tools (Azure DevOps, GitHub, JIRA)
Understanding of high-level UX principles, including user stories, persona development, and prototyping
Azure certifications (Solutions Architect or Developer) and Microsoft Development certifications preferred
Ability to thrive in agile, collaborative product delivery environments
This role does not require professional engineering licensure and is not classified as a formal engineering position under provincial regulatory definitions
