Om Mushroom Superfood bridges the gap between ancient Eastern medicine and modern wellness by producing a diverse line of certified organic, whole-food mushroom powders. The company utilizes a unique, clean-room growing technology in their Carlsbad, California facility to capture the full life-cycle and bioactivity of powerful species like Lion’s Mane and Reishi. Driven by a "Mushroom Mindset" of curiosity and entrepreneurship, Om is currently on a mission to become the first supplement brand to successfully transition from retail leadership to a category-defining digital presence.

What You Will Do

The Senior Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) Manager is responsible for overseeing financial consolidation and reporting, supporting strategic business decisions, and ensuring compliance with audit requirements. This role will report directly to the CEO and collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive business performance and support import operations.

This role can be located in either Vista, CA or Chicago, IL and is hybrid.

Responsibilities:

Prepare accurate financial statements and conduct variance analysis to monitor business performance.
Develop and maintain dashboards to track key financial metrics and trends.
Lead budgeting and forecasting processes, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
Provide financial insights based on product-specific and channel/customer-specific sales analysis to inform strategic planning and business growth.
Build and update financial models to support scenario analysis, including pricing and supply chain evaluations.
Support audit activities by preparing documentation and responding to compliance inquiries.
Manage monthly and quarterly close activities, ensuring timely and accurate reporting.
Produce ad hoc financial reports and analyses as requested by management.
Contribute to demand review processes by providing inputs and supporting import business operations.

Who You Are

You are an entrepreneurial finance leader with over 5 years of experience in financial modeling, budgeting, and NetSuite-based reporting, specifically skilled at driving strategic growth within the wellness industry. A builder at heart, you thrive in high-velocity, collaborative environments where you can translate complex sales and supply chain data into actionable business insights.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field.
Minimum of 5 years’ experience in financial planning and analysis, including financial consolidation and reporting.
Strong proficiency in budgeting, forecasting, and financial modeling.
Experience supporting audit and compliance processes.
Advanced Excel skills and familiarity with financial reporting tools and NetSuite ERP software.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Clear and effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Adaptable to changing business needs and priorities.
