About the Opportunity

Our client, a well-established full-service law firm in the Greater Vancouver area, is seeking an experienced Corporate / Commercial Legal Administrative Assistant to support a busy solicitor’s practice.

This role offers the opportunity to work closely with lawyers on a variety of corporate and commercial matters, including transactions, financing arrangements, and contract work. The successful candidate will play an important role in keeping complex deals organized and moving efficiently from initial client contact through closing and post-closing processes.

Key Responsibilities

Drafting and preparing corporate and commercial legal documents, contracts, and transaction materials
Assembling financing and lending packages for commercial transactions
Conducting corporate and due diligence searches
Coordinating closing documentation and transaction timelines
Assisting with funding processes and related administrative accounting matters
Supporting lawyers through all stages of corporate transactions, from initial file opening through post-closing documentation
Managing multiple files and deadlines in a fast-paced practice

Qualifications

Legal Administrative Assistant or Paralegal Certificate from an accredited post-secondary institution
Minimum 5 years of experience supporting a corporate or commercial legal practice
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously
Detail-oriented with excellent document management and drafting abilities
Comfortable working in a fast-paced, deal-driven environment
Experience with commercial transactions, lending matters, or conveyancing is considered an asset
