Role: Collections Associate

Job Summary

As a Collections Associate, you will be managing past-due tenant accounts, conducting outbound and inbound calls, maintaining accurate financial records, and supporting the overall collections process. You will track outstanding balances, update payment records, generate reports, and assist with operational tasks to help ensure timely recovery of receivables within property operations.

Key Responsibilities

The scope of services includes, but is not limited to:

Conduct outbound calls to tenants with past-due accounts, taking appropriate follow-up action based on daily collections reports.
Monitor payment activity and maintain accurate, up-to-date records within the collections tracker.
Respond to inbound tenant inquiries regarding outstanding balances in a clear, professional, and solution-oriented manner.
Compile and report on collections performance metrics, including delinquency data, and manage related tickets and email correspondence.
Maintain detailed delinquency records and provide regular status updates to supervisors and relevant stakeholders.
Process and accurately record tenant payments for outstanding invoices.
Review accounts deemed uncollectible and coordinate escalation to third-party collections agencies as required.
Manage chargeback disputes, ensuring proper documentation, investigation, and timely resolution.
Support additional projects and operational tasks as assigned.

Qualifications

1–2 years of experience in collections, billing, or customer service.
Strong verbal and written communication skills in English, with confidence handling outbound calls.
Ability to review financial data and make informed follow-up decisions.
Proficiency in Excel and Google Sheets.
High attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
Ability to work independently in a remote environment and manage time effectively.
Professional, reliable, and results-oriented work style.
