ICAP Executive Search & Selection on behalf of its client, one of the leading company provider in the electrical equipment, technology products, lighting, home & buildings’ automation and energy management solutions’ market in Greece, is seeking for a Senior BI Analyst to join their highly qualified team.

Senior BI Analyst (6148/SBIA/ESS/GR)

The Senior BI Business Analyst is part of the IT / Business Intelligence team and owns BI & data initiatives delivered mainly by external vendors. The role ensures accurate business requirements, KPI consistency, technical alignment, data quality, and final acceptance of BI deliverables, acting as the key link between business, IT/BI, and vendors while mentoring mid-level analysts.

Responsibilities:

Lead business requirements gathering and validation across wholesale and retail operations.
Define and govern KPIs, metrics, and business rules, ensuring consistency and alignment.
Approve functional and technical specifications and manage UAT sign-off.
Own the BI/reporting roadmap alignment with business priorities and IT architecture.
Oversee external vendors delivering BI, EDW, ETL/ELT, and reporting solutions.
Ensure compliance with BI architecture, data models, governance standards, and naming conventions.
Supervise EDW (medallion architecture), ETL/ELT processes, data lineage, and data quality controls.
Perform advanced SQL validations, reconciliations, and root cause analysis.
Define and enforce Power BI governance, reviewing tabular models and validating DAX-based KPIs.
Manage risks, change requests, and delivery quality while mentoring mid-level BI Analysts.

Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in IT, Business, Economics, or related field.
4+ years of experience as a Business Analyst / BI Analyst in IT/BI environments.
Proven ownership of vendor-driven BI or data initiatives.
Strong knowledge of EDW architecture, data modeling, and ETL/ELT processes.
Advanced SQL Server skills and solid Power BI expertise (tabular models & DAX validation).
Experience in wholesale and/or retail environments is preferred.
Strong stakeholder and vendor management skills.
Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving abilities.
Strong focus on data quality, KPI consistency, and delivery excellence.
