We're a leading recruitment company in Sri Lanka looking for a Procurement Executive for a leading MNC based in Kurunegala.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage procurement of main raw materials, engineering items, and packing materials for the manufacturing process.
Handle both local and import purchasing activities in a timely and cost-effective manner.
Coordinate closely with forwarders, shipping lines, and port authorities to ensure smooth import processes.
Liaise with the Department of Agriculture and other relevant government authorities for required approvals and compliance.
Ensure compliance with BOI procedures and regulations related to imports and procurement.
Conduct supplier evaluations, negotiate prices, and maintain strong supplier relationships.
Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with production planning to ensure uninterrupted operations.
Maintain accurate procurement documentation and records.

Requirements:

Minimum 3 years’ experience in procurement, preferably within a manufacturing environment.
Experience handling local and import procurement of raw materials, engineering items, and packing materials.
Good exposure to BOI procedures.
Hands-on experience working with forwarders, shipping lines, port authorities, the Department of Agriculture, and other government bodies.
Strong knowledge of supplier evaluation and vendor management procedures.
Good negotiation, coordination, and communication skills.
Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
