What You Will Do

We’re looking for a Sr. Sales Analyst to support our brand growth and help keep our sales team moving forward with data-driven insights and analytics. Reporting to the National Sales Director, this role will be responsible for revenue and trade forecasting and planning (including Confido TPM management), analyzing sales performance across accounts and channels, managing promotional analysis, tracking key performance indicators, and developing and maintaining sales planning and reporting systems. The Sr. Sales Analyst will partner closely with sales, marketing, and finance to support revenue and trade planning, evaluate promotional effectiveness, and identify opportunities that drive profitable growth across retail channels. This role offers the opportunity to be an integral member of a passionate, collaborative team within a purpose-driven company that continues to grow and innovate. The position is West Coast–based with occasional travel for team meetings and trade shows (San Diego a plus).

Responsibilities:

Analyze sales performance across all channels, accounts, and products, identifying trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement
Partner with sales, finance and accounting teams on revenue planning and forecasting, trade spend planning, accrual management, and budget tracking
Manage promotional analysis from pre-planning through post-promotion, tracking ROI, lift, and incrementality to optimize trade spend effectiveness
Develop and maintain sales dashboards and reports providing insights to sales leadership and cross-functional teams
Work with syndicated data sources (SPINS, Retailer POS) and distributor shipment data to track category trends, competitive performance, market share, velocity and TDP metrics
Support sales forecasting and planning by analyzing historical trends, seasonality, and promotional impacts
Track and report on key performance indicators including revenue, distribution gains, velocity, and trade spend ROI
Collaborate with broker partners and retailers to gather account-level data and ensure accurate reporting
Conduct ad-hoc analysis to support strategic initiatives, new product launches, pricing decisions, and distribution opportunities
Monitor competitive activity and pricing, identifying threats and opportunities in the marketplace
Create presentations and insights for sales team meetings, business reviews, and leadership updates
Maintain data integrity across systems and ensure accuracy of sales reporting

You bring strong Excel and data visualization skills, experience working with retail and syndicated data (SPINS, Nielsen), and the ability to translate complex datasets into recommendations that drive profitable growth. Experience in CPG or retail analytics is required, with emerging brand experience highly valued. Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) preferred, ideally in Business, Economics, Statistics, or related field
2-5 years experience in sales analytics, business intelligence, or related analytical role
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel including pivot tables, VLOOKUP, INDEX/MATCH, complex formulas, and data manipulation
Experience in forecasting and demand planning
Experience working with syndicated data (SPINS, Nielsen, IRI) and understanding of CPG retail metrics
Experience working with distributor data and platforms (KeHE, UNFI)
Proven ability to analyze large datasets, identify trends, and communicate findings clearly
Strong understanding of CPG sales metrics including velocities, distribution, market share, promotional lift and seasonality
Excellent communication skills with ability to translate complex data into clear insights for non-technical audiences
Strong attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy
Highly self-motivated and organized; able to manage multiple priorities simultaneously
Collaborative mindset and able to work well with both external and internal partners
Experience in CPG, food & beverage, or natural products industry strongly preferred
Knowledge of retail account structures and promotional mechanisms (TPRs, displays, ads)
Experience with data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI, or similar) is highly desirable
Understanding of trade spend management and deduction processes preferred
Experience with TPM systems, including Confido, a plus!
