ICAP Executive Search on behalf of its client, a Greek food manufacturing company, is seeking an Accounting Specialist to join their team.

Accounting Specialist (6171/AS/ESS/GR)

Requirements:

Demonstrate excellent knowledge and expertise in accounting principles and practices, with particular emphasis on MyData compliance and submission processes.
Prepare and submit all required monthly declarations in accordance with Greek tax and regulatory requirements (VAT, WHT, AADE, Intrastat/VIES, FMY) and other tax obligations.
Perform timely and accurate balance sheet reconciliations (accounts receivable, accounts payable, fixed assets, banks).
Maintain accurate bookkeeping records and manage daily accounting transactions, including journal entries (accounts payable, accounts receivable, Capex, Opex).
Reconcile vendor and customer balances.
Reconcile employee expense reports and receipts.
Maintain organized and up-to-date financial records.
Support month-end and year-end closing processes.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
Minimum 6+ years of professional experience in a similar role within structured accounting
department of medium to large-sized companies.
Strong knowledge of accounting principles, Greek tax legislation, and best practices.
Advanced knowledge of MS Office, particularly Excel.
Experience with ERP systems (knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics 365 F&O will be considered an asset).
Excellent command of the English language.
